Mozilla Firefox

Why we don't allow Internet explorer to download large files.
There is a bug within internet explorer that corrupts large (100MB+) files (see Microsoft Bug Status Q298618 at microsoft.com). When users discover that the file they just spent three hours downloading does not work, they often lash out at us, or just download it again and again. This sort of behaviour wastes our time and precious resources.

Due to Microsoft's refusal to confrom to international web coding standards, Our site requires many CSS hacks to work in IE, and parts are still broken. "Why is this happening? Don't ask such silly questions! This is IE, remember? Conformance with the specs is only to be hoped for, not expected."

If you want your file to download right, and first time, DO NOT use Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer is a sub standard copy of better browsers, such as Mozilla's Firefox. IE does not adhere to global coding standards, and therefore does not function correctly with most websites. Internet Explorer is prone to virus and worm attacks. Internet Explorer is a closed source software made by a large corporation.
