If you are used to the traditional 'Zip' or 'Rar' compression formats, you may have problems using some of the files on this site...
You may be confused, Most of our files are compressed in the '7z' format, and do not work in older emulators or on computers without 7z support.

'7z' is a reletively new compression format that uses the LZMA compression method and yields better compression ratios and faster processing time than traditional compression algorithms.

7-Zip is an open source, free program that specialises in compression with the 7z format, as well as support for the more popular zip and rar formats.

To use a file any file hosted on our site (7z, Zip and Rar):
1. Download and Install 7-Zip
2. Double click on the icon of the file you downloaded from us.
3. Press the 'extract' button. This may take a while, depending on the level of compression that was used on the file, and the filesize.
4. New files, or a new directory, will be created in the same place as the file from this website. These are the actual rom files and should work fine (assuming you have the correct emulator)
